Izzy is in the middle of a red-carpet try-on, and this one is already getting the shrug. Deep plunge, black lace trim, soft knit, city rain on the window behind her — pretty, dramatic, very her. Still, the look on her face says the search is not over.

Trying things on is half the fun. You put it on, turn once, take a photo, and decide if it feels like you or like a costume. Izzy does that with a little more attitude than most. If it is not right, she will say so with a shrug before she says it out loud.
I love this stage of getting ready. The room is warm, the weather outside is grey, and the next option is already waiting. Red carpet or not, the point is finding the piece that makes her stand a little taller when she walks out the door.
What would you tell her — keep this one, or keep looking? And if you were dressing for a big night, would you go dark and simple, or full sparkle?
Drop your vote in the comments. I read every single one.
Here’s to more try-ons, honest shrugs, and the dress that finally feels right.
