I use an old inherited (thanks stepdad) Sony DSC-HX1 9.1MP camera for most of my 'studio' pictures. It is simple and sturdy, and can flip between point and shoot auto settings and pro mode for setting focal length, shutter speed, ISO and basically all the parameters you would ever need.

I usually have my cheapo fantsastico Kodak PIXPRO in my purse for those moments of inspiration when I am out and about. I don't often publish the photos from my Kodak, it's just to record ideas and inspirations.

My selfies are all done on my iPhone14 which I have had for a few years now. As you can probably tell I don't chase the newest or the best technology, so long as it works. Sometimes technology does too much for you and does not allow you to learn the traditional methods.
Smart phones = dumb people
I load my images into Corel Paint Shop Pro to edit them and tweak them, upscaling them to 4K. I also use AI editing for some parts of my work, if I need to really fix something like removing people or things from the background or changing things that simple PSP editing cannot fix.
After that bold admission, there is some things I absolutely refuse to fix in the editing studio. No 'makeovers' no fine line or wrinkle removal. No digital liposuction or Botox treatments. I want to capture an honest image of my subject as nature intended.
I am still learning with every single image I take from composition to settings to editing to publishing, so any advice any of you can offer, or suggestions for making my images better, or more interesting, please leave a comment.
